The Innova IRV Foundation mobilizes an investment of 6.5 million euros in innovation initiatives and projects
- The Board of Trustees has approved the Foundation’s 2024 Action Plan, which centers its activity on four focal areas: Microelectronics, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Communications
- This year the Foundation has incorporated Anovo, Atarfil, Eurecat, Empresa Pública de Turismo de Andalucía, Smart City Cluster, TST, GMV and the Universidad Internacional de Andalucía (UNIA) as collaborating entities, becoming a total of more than thirty associates
- In 2024 the National Network of Ricardo Valle Institutes is planned to be set up with the help of AMETIC, which will bring all over the country the model that began with the Málaga node
The Board of Trustees of the Ricardo Valle Institute of Innovation Foundation (Innova IRV) gathered at The Green Lemon building at Málaga Tech Park, where it presented the initiatives, proposals and projects launched by the Foundation this year. They were presented in the presence of the Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, and the president of the Foundation, Ezequiel Navarro, among other authorities, trustees and collaborators.
Throughout this year, Innova IRV has mobilized a total investment of 6.5 million euros, attracting 3.6 million euros of public funding. Likewise, the Foundation, which was born at the beginning of 2022, has been working on more than 15 projects worth 158 million euros.
Next year, Innova IRV will focus its activity on four focal areas including Microelectronics, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Communications, with the aim of pursuing strategic projects and initiatives of greater scope and market impact.
In this regard, the Board of Trustees has given the green light to the Foundation’s action plan for 2024, which includes the main projects and initiatives in which it will work to boost innovation in these areas.
The Foundation has continued to grow throughout this year, incorporating in last months eight new companies and entities. These companies and entities are Anovo, Atarfil, Eurecat, Empresa Pública de Turismo de Andalucía, Smart City Cluster, TST, GMV, and the Universidad Internacional de Andalucía (UNIA), becoming a total of more than thirty associates.
Next year will also be key in the deployment of the National Network of Ricardo Valle Institutes of Innovation, which will involve the development of a series of nodes like the one in Málaga in the rest of the country through the AMETIC employers’ association.
