The Aragón Institute of Technology Joins the Innova IRV Foundation

With this agreement, both institutions commit to advancing technological innovation and fostering cooperation through the development of joint projects.
The Ricardo Valle Innovation Foundation (Innova IRV) and the Aragón Institute of Technology (ITA) have announced the signing of a collaboration agreement through which the Aragonese center officially joins the Foundation, reinforcing its national reach and scope.
The agreement was signed by Ezequiel Navarro, President of Innova IRV, and Ester Borao, General Director of ITA, reaffirming both entities’ shared commitment to strengthening and promoting mutual cooperation in the field of technological innovation and development.
The objective of this agreement is to boost synergies between both organizations by fostering knowledge transfer, the development of joint projects, and the promotion of initiatives aimed at driving innovation across key areas such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, advanced communications, microelectronics, robotics and automation, advanced materials, and the circular economy, among others.
This collaboration seeks to consolidate an ecosystem that facilitates the creation of new technological developments, encourages entrepreneurship, and enhances both national and international competitiveness.
With a team of over 300 professionals, the Aragón Institute of Technology plays a vital role in the innovation policy of the regional government of Aragón. Its mission is to enhance business competitiveness and support the emergence of new industries through the generation, acquisition, adaptation, transfer, and dissemination of innovative technologies.
In this regard, Ester Borao emphasized:
“This alliance strengthens our mission as a technology center. More than ever, we need companies that are prepared for a rapidly changing and uncertain future—one that is already upon us—where technology is our ally and collaboration is the only way to become stronger and have greater impact on the society we aim to build.”
Similarly, Ezequiel Navarro highlighted:
“ITA offers a rich and focused ecosystem, a valuable opportunity to connect our innovative tech companies at Fundación Ricardo Valle with the capabilities and synergies of this center in fields such as cybersecurity, AI, AgroTech—where Aragón has a particularly strong industry—and electric and connected vehicles. Moreover, they share Innova IRV’s values: a passion for innovation and generosity.”
“Aragón is home to a five-century-old university and some of Spain’s most cutting-edge companies, such as Grupo Samca and Grupo Empresarial Costa. It also leads Europe in appliance manufacturing, with BSH, and has vast water and renewable energy resources—key elements for green hydrogen and the development of supercomputing and data centers,” Navarro added.
