Eurecat Innova inaugurates headquarters in Malaga TechPark
- The Eurecat Innova facilities house the joint innovation and technological development unit of the Eurecat technology center and the Ricardo Valle Innovation Institute Foundation (Innova IRV).
- The new headquarters will allow Eurecat to make its capabilities in industrial, digital, biotechnology and sustainability available to the business and entrepreneurial ecosystem of Malaga and Andalusia.
- The Eurecat technology center reaffirms its vocation to contribute to the promotion of technological development, close to the territories and in collaboration with the innovation ecosystem and the economic and business fabric.
The technology center Eurecat has inaugurated today in Malaga TechPark Eurecat Innova, the headquarters that will house the joint unit of innovation and technological development that has launched together with the Ricardo Valle Institute of Innovation Foundation (Innova IRV), in order to make available to the innovation and business ecosystem of Malaga and Andalusia its capabilities in industrial, digital, biotechnology and sustainability areas.
The inauguration of the Eurecat Innova headquarters was attended by the mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre; the president of Innova IRV, Ezequiel Navarro, and the president of the Eurecat technology center, Daniel Altimiras. Also participating were the CEO of Málaga TechPark and patron of Innova IRV, Felipe Romera; the CEO of Innova IRV, José Manuel Leceta; the general director of Corporate and Operations of Eurecat, Xavier López, and the director of Eurecat Innova Málaga, Ignacio de la Vega.
The president of Eurecat stressed that the new headquarters “will allow Eurecat to bring and make available to the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem of Malaga and Andalusia its highly specialized capabilities to promote the transfer of technological knowledge to companies and society as a whole”.
Eurecat’s proximity to Malaga and Andalusia as a whole “will be key to add and promote technological innovation as a lever for business competitiveness and economic and social prosperity,” said Daniel Altimiras.
The president of Eurecat also remarked that Eurecat Innova will help to provide “the maximum research and technological development capabilities so that they can be transformed into products with high added value and social impact”.
“More technological innovation means more competitiveness, more sustainability and more value for society as a whole”, emphasized the president of Eurecat, who insisted on the objective of Eurecat Innova to be an “ally to innovate with inspiration, efficiency and impact in new processes, products and services”.
With this inauguration, “Eurecat reaffirms its vocation to contribute to the promotion of technological development close to the territories, integrating itself as another actor and in deep collaboration with the innovation ecosystem and the economic and business fabric,” added Eurecat’s Corporate and Operations general director, Xavier López.
In his words, “the success of Eurecat as a technology center is based on the integration of technologies and disciplines that allow addressing complex challenges, based on territorial capillarity, proximity and the establishment of relationships of trust, with the participation in local ecosystems”.
“Together we can provide greater differential value to the ecosystem of Malaga and, by extension, of Andalusia and the whole of Spain, based on a clear commitment to talent and the promotion of complementary skills and capabilities”, with the aim of “doing so as an agent of the territory, adding to meet the challenges faced by companies and that are shared”, stressed the general director of Corporate and Operations of Eurecat.
For his part, the director of Eurecat Innova Málaga, Ignacio de la Vega, insisted that “Eurecat already provides highly specialized knowledge to more than 2,000 companies of all sectors and sizes, so that they can be more competitive and sustainable, thanks to a team of more than 750 professionals”.
“Eurecat generates an annual revenue of more than 60 million euros, but the most important thing is the value it generates for companies, especially SMEs, so that they can differentiate themselves and grow in a highly competitive global environment,” said Ignacio de la Vega.

The joint innovation and technological development unit Eurecat – Ricardo Valle Institute of Innovation Foundation (Innova IRV) is oriented to the development of collaborative projects, technology transfer and the creation of companies to promote new production models.
Among other objectives, the joint Eurecat – Ricardo Valle Institute of Innovation Foundation technological innovation unit will focus on deploying strategies and new business models in innovation; generating technological assets that contribute to the industrial resilience of the socioeconomic fabric at the international level; jointly conceptualizing and developing R&D and innovation projects that address solutions to the main challenges detected by companies, and accelerating the capacity to generate ideas and bring them to market.
To this end, Eurecat provides research and technological development capabilities and Innova IRV provides the transformation of this knowledge into products of high economic value and high social impact.
